Part 1 - Life Under the Sun: Oracle 1
The Seven Spirits
Six kinds of spirits are found in the Land of Dusk, a seventh calls from the Twilight realm:
The One Great Spirit knows all and is all, and has power over all.
It created everything and everything he created lives because it lives.
Through its words all things were created including the Way,
and by its light the Way is made visible for all to see.

The Spirit of Word and Light is one with the One Great Spirit;
It is The Way and it illuminates The Way.
It is both flesh and spirit.
There is no darkness where it shines,
But it moves freely between light and darkness.
The Spirit of the Way travels across both the lands of Dusk and Twilight and through the Kingdom of Death—to which Dusk belongs--and also the darkness beyond.
When death tried to destroy the Way, it broke death’s teeth and paved a straight and unbroken path through death’s domain making a way for all willing souls to pass from Dusk to Twilight.

The human eye cannot see the Way, but our souls can hear the call of the Perfect Guide.
The Perfect Guide is one with the One Great Spirit; it cannot lead a soul astray.
It does not associate with evil, but calls from Twilight to those living in the land of Dusk, its feet firmly set upon the Way.
It shows the Way to those with ears to hear, and to those who answer its call, it gives new eyes to see what the One Great Spirit wishes to reveal to each person that travels along the Way.

The One Great Spirit delivers unique revelations to every human soul, but the Spirit of Humankind is common among all souls and was once in harmony with the One Great Spirit. There was a time when humanity knew only the Way, but we rejected the counsel of the Perfect Guide and listened to evil spirits that promised to show us another way.
We wanted to know what good might lie beyond All-That-is-Good;
We wanted to know evil and what it could offer.
We wanted the same thing that caused the evil spirits to fall,
And so we fell too.

Once in harmony with the One Great Spirit, these evil spirits desired to see what good lies beyond all good; they wanted to be great apart from good—to possess the power of the One Great Spirit for themselves and to not share it with all that is good.
Cut off from life these evil spirits go their own way, they dwell in Dusk, but move also in Twilight and seek to deceive and destroy people both on and off the Way.
For a time, they are allowed to exist because humankind desires to know evil and what it has to offer.
They act as guides to all who wish to pursue evil, but are enemies to all who seek what is good.

There are good spirits too, which exist in the unseen realm;
They are in harmony with the One Great Spirit.
These good spirits are the brethren of the evil spirits that did not abandon the Way.
In battle they drove their kin out from the presence of the One Great Spirit, and in battle, they still contend with the evil spirits which seek to ravage the Spirit of All-Creation and the souls of women and men.
Even now in victory they praise the name of All-That-is-Good—the One Great Spirit—and they watch over the Spirit of All-Creation and the souls of humankind, according to how the One Great Spirit directs them.

Of the seven types of spirits, there are four that are good and only good, one that is evil and only evil, one that is simply a vessel, and one that must choose which way it will go.
The Spirit of All-Creation—every star, rock, element, plant, and animal—is but a vessel. It can be acted on by both good and evil and participate in the spreading of both good and evil, but it is incapable of choosing one or the other. It is inherently good, but the greatest force acting on it will always determine which way it will go.
In this way, the Spirit of All-Creation is blind, incapable of seeing beyond the present moment. Many humans choose to be blind too, but it does not have to be this way.
The Spirit of Humanity is the only spirit that in this life is able to choose both good and evil, and can share one or the other with the souls of its brothers and sisters, and with the Spirit of All-Creation.
